- 1 can of baked beans
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 small tomato, finely chopped
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Fresh coriander, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat butter in a pan over medium heat and add cumin seeds, allowing them to splutter.
- Add the chopped onion, green chili, and ginger-garlic paste. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
- Stir in the chopped tomato, turmeric, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes soften.
- Add the baked beans and cook for 5-7 minutes to blend the flavors.
- While the beans are simmering, toast the bread slices until golden and crispy.
- Spoon the spicy bean mixture over the toasted bread.
- Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese generously over the beans.
- Place the toast under a hot grill or broiler for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
