Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 large croissant
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate hazelnut spread (such as Nutella®)
  • 1/4 cup fresh berries (e.g., sliced strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries)

Instructions

  1. Flatten the Croissant:
Use a rolling pin or your hands to press the croissant to a 1/4-inch thickness.
  2. Toast the Croissant:
Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a medium skillet over medium heat. Place the flattened croissant in the skillet, bottom side down, and press firmly with the base of a smaller skillet or saucepan until lightly browned (about 3 minutes).
  3. Add Honey and Toast Again:
Drizzle honey evenly over the croissant and add the remaining butter to the skillet. Flip the croissant and press again, cooking until the top side is toasted and golden (about 2 minutes). Transfer to a plate and let it cool slightly.
  4. Assemble the Toppings:
Spread Nutella evenly over the toasted croissant while it’s still warm, allowing it to melt slightly. Top with fresh berries of your choice for a colorful and flavorful finish.
