Description

This Ground Beef Stroganoff is a quick and hearty dish, perfect for busy weeknights. With tender egg noodles, savory ground beef, and a creamy, flavorful sauce, it delivers comfort food at its best. The sour cream adds a tangy richness, while garlic and onion enhance the savory profile. It’s a family-friendly meal that’s both nostalgic and versatile.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 6 ounces Egg Noodles
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1/4 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 1/4 cups Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 cup Sour Cream
  • Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Once cooked, set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned (6–8 minutes). Drain excess fat and set the beef aside.
  3. Using the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk continuously for about 2 minutes to create a roux.
  4. Gradually pour in the beef broth while whisking to avoid lumps. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 3–4 minutes.
  5. Slowly whisk in the milk, stirring until the sauce thickens again (about 5–7 minutes). The sauce should be smooth and creamy.
  6. Add garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and salt. Stir to combine.
  7. Reduce the heat to low. Add the cooked egg noodles and browned ground beef, mixing until well incorporated and heated through.
  8. Gently stir in the sour cream until fully blended into the sauce.
  9. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
