- 2 slices of bread
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons pizza sauce
- 4 slices of pepperoni
- 1 tablespoon pickled jalapeños, chopped (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven or toaster oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly toast the two slices of bread until golden.
- Place one slice on a baking sheet, and sprinkle a border of shredded cheese around the edges, leaving the center empty.
- Stack the second slice of toast on top. Press down in the center with the back of a spoon to create a crater.
- Drizzle olive oil over the crater, and season with salt and pepper.
- Fill the crater with pizza sauce, then top with half the mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
- Arrange pepperoni slices and jalapeños (if using) on top, then sprinkle the remaining cheese over the entire toast.
- Bake for 5–7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
